Our adaptation workshops for foreigners help foreigners understand Polish culture and history. During the meeting we deliver important historical events that shaped the national culture of the Poles. Participants will also learn about the influence of foreign cultures on Polish identity and traditions.

 

The scope of topics:

- the process of forming Polish statehood

- Warsaw, the capital city of Poland

- Polish rulers and kings

- sources of Polish culture and customs

- what distinguishes Polish culture

ADAPTATION WORKSHOPS FOR FOREIGNERS

Dariusz Sirko - graduate of GSSR Lancaster University and Polish Academy of Sciences, author of "Pocket History of Poland" - a pocketbook on history of Poland for foreigners. Specialist in the field of cultural adaptation of foreigners with over 5 years of experience.

He worked at the Department of Foreigners at the Mazovian Governor’s Office, where he was responsible for providing services to foreigners and preparing information materials on temporary residence permits as part of a project co-financed by the National Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (FAMI).

He was also involved in the coordination of international student at Kozminski University. For many years an active member of the Association.
